Chant the 108 NamesSai Baba of Shirdi was a spiritual master regarded by his devotees as a saint and a fakir. He is revered by both his Hindu and Muslim devotees, and during, as well as after, his life on earth it remained uncertain if he was a Hindu or a Muslim himself. This, however, was of no consequence to Sai Baba himself.
He stressed the importance of surrender to the guidance of the true Satguru or Murshid. Sai Baba is worshipped by people around the world. He had no love for perishable things and his sole concern was self-realization. He taught a moral code of love, forgiveness, helping others, charity, contentment, inner peace, and devotion to God and guru.
"If you look to me, I look to you."
Baba's path was simple yet profound. Here are the pillars of his philosophy.
Universal love for all creatures. Seeing the divine in every living being.
Service to others is service to God. Helping the poor and needy is the highest worship.
Non-violence in thought and deed. Maintaining inner peace (Shanti) amidst chaos.
Right conduct (Dharma) and Truth (Sathya). Living in accord with natural law.
